ORBALOX is a reddish-brown mixture of solid particles that dissolves easily in water and is worked in high dilution for use in chemical anodizing – painting of aluminium and tin. Aluminium, when passed through the ORBALOX-P bath, is painted a uniform golden surface in imitation of bronze; this is highly appreciated in many component processing industries for final painting and protection of the metal from exogenous corrosion. At the same time this protective paint, due to its excellent hiding power, is an excellent primer that hooks any type of paint onto aluminium.
