Gundari Resort by Block722 blends effortlessly with the raw beauty of its 80-acre setting

Perched high on the rugged cliffs of Folegandros, Gundari Resort is a celebration of the Cycladic tradition, artfully merged with modern minimalism. The resort’s design takes its cues from the island itself, with each of the 27 suites and villas carefully crafted to blend into the rocky terrain. Block722 envisioned Gundari as an extension of the island’s rugged cliffs. Stone walls follow the natural landscape, while wooden structures add delicate touches, connecting robust forms with the gentle rhythms of nature. Water features and panoramic sea views further enhance the sense of connection with the surrounding environment. At the heart of the resort, the bar-restaurant serves as a welcoming gathering spot with stunning views. The lower zone of the complex houses the spa and executive suites, offering secluded spaces for relaxation and privacy. These areas are thoughtfully integrated into the landscape, creating an intimate and peaceful retreat. Staying at Gundari means becoming part of Folegandros’ timeless story, where architecture and nature seamlessly blend in perfect harmony.
