Keratsini Goody’s Burger House by Chadios+Associates

The new architectural concept for Goody’s Burger House restaurants was created by Chadios+Associates in response to the company’s desire to redefine the identity of its fast food venues that have established it as a recognized brand name in the Greek market. The proposed space, with its warm and intimate environment, recalls the joy of a communal kitchen where family and friends share the table and the joyful memories of a garden barbecue or a picnic in the countryside.

The philosophy of the new identity continues to evolve in this new space situated in a busy urban square in the district of Keratsini. Bright colors that blend harmoniously together, tall tables and stools that exude a relaxed mood, warm and natural materials are combined with neon lights and graphics that mark the new image of the Burger House. A key element of the restaurant is an impressive longitudinal dining table with metal frames that tilt upwards unifying the interior and exterior space. Walking past it, one approaches the counter area cladded with wooden planks arranged in herring-bone patterns. Geometric motifs on the tiles of the floor define the ordering area. The kitchen is separated from the hall by a semi-permeable frame, forming a light volume that allows the partial communication of the internal functioning of the restaurant with the visitor. A small wooden “kiosk” where coffee is served is combined with a cozy seating area. The feel of an interior courtyard is created with the use of cement tiles on the floor, old-fashioned brass lighting fixtures on the wall and a large L-shaped couch with colorful pillows.
