Under sails by SCEG Architects

Under one roof, four elementary volumes united in a two-level house host this residence next to the sea on the island of Nosy Be, Madagascar, designed by SCEG Architects. The space is organized around independent areas connected by wooden paths. The central patio, mediating element between the inside and outside, is connecting the front with the back, the sea and the forest. The roof, like a straw curtain, covers the volumes towards the beach and protects the house from water, light and wind. A natural canopy rises at three points: eyes that are watching the sun set behind the island of Nosy Be.
