Marmarometry
Marmarometry is a series of jewelry that combines harmonically Greek marble and metal, in plain geometrical lines and a minimal aesthetic. Drawing her influences from architecture, designer Xenia Nefelly Vlachou aims at using this timeless material – usually associated with ancient Greece and the Parthenon – in an unusual way in order to reinforce Greek identity in design. It’s also a way to remind the wider public of the serious matter of the return of Parthenon sculptures to their mother country, as she is personally a strong supporter of the cause.
