“Yorgaki”, a Greek cafè in the heart of Paris

Freshly opened in the 9th Arrondissement, Yorgaki is the first «Kafeneion», or Greek Café, in Paris.

Serving Greek coffee cooked on
hot sand, such as Frappés, Fredo Espresso and more traditional hot and cold Greek drinks, it also has a selection of fresh food homely prepared like tzatziki, melitzanosalata, tarama, Greek choriatiki salad, marinated anchovies and kalamata olives, that can be shared around a Fix
or a Mythos, the classic Greek beers. For dessert, loukoumi and kourabies sourced in Greece,
a locally-produced portokalopita, and the legendary caprice biscuit are here as reminders of the taste of Greece.
Yorgaki is the brainchild of Yorgo Tloupas,
one of the most successful art directors
of his generation, who felt there was a need
for a place where he could share his culinary passions with others, and help people discover the uniqueness of Greek coffee traditions.
Also, the adventure serves as a design experiment, with napkins designed like the paper tablecloth maps of the Cyclades, with a humorous take on Paris’ neighbourhoods.

Yorgo Tloupas works with luxury, art, fashion, sports, media and automotive brands. Author of the latest commercial campaigns for Omega and Loro Piana, with his team at Yorgo & Co, he designs visual identities for brands such as Ricard, Martell, Artcurial, Lacoste, and Hôtel de Crillon.
As a magazine creative director, Yorgo launched and currently art directs Vanity Fair France,
and has headed GQ France, Intersection, BeauxArts, Libération, and many others. Yorgo also teaches logo design at Penninghen,
IFM, SciencesPo Paris, and holds conferences and talks worldwide.
